For Non-EU-applicants

In this case, I will send you an official invitation and an aupair-contract signed by
the host family that you will need to take to the German embassy in your home
country to apply for a visa. The issuing of the visa can take between 1 and 3 months. Please let me know immediately once you know when you will have the visa. Then
you can arrange the trip to Germany. In general, you will have to take over the travel costs. Some families help you by subsidizing it, but they aren't obliged to, so please make sure that you have enough money available once the date of departure approaches.

least once a week so that the family and I know that you are still interested. When
you receive the invitation to pick up your visa everything will happen pretty quickly
and you should be prepared for your big adventure!
